A Message from our Founder

I am Joy Chapin. Since my spiritual awakening in 2019, my life has changed deeply. The universe revealed my past life to me, guiding me to understand my true purpose. I realize now that my journey is not just for me; it is a mission of love and compassion for all beings. LightUU is my way of acting in alignment with my purpose—a charitable organization dedicated to community service and spreading positivity.

LightUU is a free meditation center, where everyone is welcome and can find comfort. However, this center is not just for meditation; it is home to a community built on love, compassion, humility, and harmony. Here, we gather to share our stories, uplift one another, and awaken the love within us together. We resonate with the universe’s love, creating a healing space for ourselves and each other.

We must remember that every person comes from a unique background and experience. Instead of judgement, let us embrace empathy and compassion. Love transcends all barriers, and it is only through love that we can truly heal. Only love has the power to bring us together and create lasting change.

LightUU will start by supporting and strengthening our local community in Lake Stevens, healing our world one heart at a time to bring light, love, joy, and compassion to all. We’ve been guided to fulfill this mission and make this a global movement.

Some of our goals include the following:

1. Connect volunteers to service opportunities in the global community.

2. A space to share your experience and talents to help one another.

3. LightUU will be a space with a variety of rotating classes and events to benefit both your well-being and spiritual health.

4. Develop a community that can rely on each other and spread our four main values: light, love, joy, and compassion to everyone no matter what their background is. Everyone deserves to feel these four values in their lives.

Many souls face challenges that can feel overwhelming: loneliness, despair, and the struggle for basic needs. These experiences can lead to feelings of isolation. My heart aches for those who navigate these hardships, and I feel called to unite with others to offer support and healing. Together, we can create a powerful force for change and uplift those in need.

I dream of organizing meditation events and forming teams to reach out to those who may feel forgotten. My goal is to ensure that everyone feels valued and supported, regardless of their circumstances, and invite kindhearted souls to join me on this journey. Together we can call upon the universe’s love to heal our world.

I approach this mission with deep humility, recognizing that I am a servant of love. I dedicate my life to this cause, using every resource I have to fulfill our shared mission. Every person and creature deserves to feel valued and loved.
